About Srigiri, Ongole.

Sri Siddeswari Peeta Palitha Srigiri Sri Venkateswara swamy Vari Devasthanam, Ongole was constructed by Sri Aluru Venkata Ramana Rao, his family, relatives and his close associates with the Devine Grace.of Lord Venkateswara Swamy. The temple was opened on 16th June 1997 and handed over to Sri Sri Sri Siva Chidananada Bharathi Swamiji, the then Peethadhipathi. Sri Siddheswari Peetam, Courtalam, Tamil Nadu. At the same time, Swamiji decided and appointed five hereditary Dharmakarthas  as a result of their whole hearted and dedicated  involvement in construction of the Temple , their major financial contributions  and their experience in managing the temple from the start.

The Dharmakarthas

1. Sri. Aluru Venkata Ramana Rao, the renowned Astrologer as Vyavastapaka Dharmakartha (Founder Dharmakartha) , 

2. Sri Aluru Jwala Rama Rao (Retd. Divisional Accounts Officer(W), Andhra Pradesh,Govt) as Dharmakartha- 2 He is made in charge of Arjitha Sevas and Prasadams. He constructed Srivari potu, storeroom, dharma karthas office, guest house, etc.

3. Sri Aluru Kumar Athreya S/o Late Sri. Aluru Ramakrishna Rao (Retd. Joint Director, Finince Dept. Andhra Pradesh) as Dharamakartha- He is made in charge for Srivari Strong Room, Gold, Silver Ornaments and clothes etc. He constructed strong room in compliance with bank specifications with the Godrej locking system. He also takes care of Ghovu Kshetram ( Ghovu Samrakshna Samithi) . He provides financial contributions on a continuous basis for managing the temple. 

4. Sri Chilamakuri Venkata Rama Krishna Rao (Retd. Sub. Divisional Engineer, BSNL) as Dharmakartha –4. He is made in charge of Constructions, Infrastructure Development and Incharge for Parakamani Uthsavam ,Hundi and and Srigiri Dharma Prachara Parishad (cultural activities). He constructed Archakas guest house Srinivasa vanam  

With the support of the founder dharmakartha and other dharmakarthas the establishment of Srivari Vimanam and Mahamandapam have taken their shape. 

Kshetra Palaka

Kshetra Palaka as Sri ABHAYA ANJANEYA SWAMY For Srigiri Sri Venkateswara Swamy Vari Devasthanam. 

Sri Abhaya Anjaya Swamy Temple is built by Sri Aluru Jwala Ramarao, Smt Suseela Devi (Dharmakartha- Arjitha Sevas) and their sons Phani Kumar and Saravana Kumar,USA.

The temple is run by His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Siddheswarananda Bharathi Swamiji, Courtallam. Detailed accounts regarding the expenditures and all financial transactions are being sent to Sri Siddheswari peetam, Courtalam periodically.

Srigiri Sri Venkateswara Swamy Vari Devasthanam does not receive any funding or contributions from Government or Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam.or any other charitable endowments. Also, there is no practice of receiving direct cash donations from anybody

Hundi

After opening the temple on 16th June 1997, initially there was no Hundi (place to contribute the offerings to God). After several requests from the devotees, a decision was taken by Sri Sri Sri Siva Chidananda Bharathi Swamiji, to provide hundi for public offerings. After the instructions from swamiji, the Hundi was ceremonially opened by Sri. G. Surya Prakasa Rao, IPS, the then Additional Superintendent of Police- Prakasam Dist. The Hundi operations are banked with Union Bank of India for the Hundi collection and parakamani uthsavams with the direct support of the esteemed team.

Parakamani Utsavam

Parakamani (Hundi counting event) will be conducted periodically by parakamani team of 40-60 that consist of Union bank employees , Dharmakarthas, devotees at randam (officers from other banks, Govt. Officials, Advocates, Doctors, Business people, women devotees etc). Finally, amount collected during Parakamani Utsavam will be announced to Lord Balaji by Sri C.V. Ramakrishna Rao, the Dharmakartha(4), and the same will be credited to the temple account by the Officials representing Union bank at the Utsavam.

Visesha Parakamani

Visesha parakamani is being conducted periodically by bank appraiser and insurance officer in the presence of 2 district cadre judicial officers or retired officers of the same rank , .The item wise details of weight, quality, etc of all the ornaments are recorded and kept in safe custody. All the ornaments of Gold and Silver are insured with general Insurance Company.

Temple Staff

The temple follows the discipline of Vaikhanasa Aagamana Sastra. The archaka selection committee oversees the selection of Archakas. The honorary committee is comprised of the following dignitaries.- Sri Dr. Ganjam Srinivasa Murthy, Sri Parankusam Seetharama Charyulu (Dharmagiri Veda patasala), Sri Maddipati Anantha Sesha Charyulu (Organizing Secretary, AP Archaka Samakhya). The names of the selected candidates ,finalized by  the commitee will be forwarded to Swamiji for final approval. The temple currently employs three Archakas and one veda parayandar on a full-time basis. Additional archakas will be employed depending on the need basis.

Other staff includes head chef, security personnel, clerical staff, cleaning staff, Goukapari and Srivari sevaks( Volunteers). All the temple staff are on daily wages , consolidated payment will be made only through bank and via account for the services rendered on a monthly basis.  
With the blessings of the swamyji, the following honorary duties are performed..

1) Sannidhi Golla: Sri Eerla Narasimha Rao Yadav's family was appointed as Honorary Sannidhi Golla. He shall open the Sanctum Sanctorium first to facilitate the Archakaas to perform the Sevas.of the Lord.

2) Srigiri Sri Venkateswara Swamy Vari Devasthanam Legal Officer: Shri NVS Talpa Sayee is appointed as Devasthanam Legal Officer. He is a retired District Judge , well versed with practise as an advocate, then later appointed as a prosecutor. Subsequently he was appointed as Judicial officer.

He worked in the judiciary for a period of about 23 years in various positions. He worked as Devastanam Law Officer at TTD ( Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams), on deputation in the cadre of District Judge. He has experience both on civil and criminal issues in all levels.

3) Srigiri Sri Venkateswara Swamy Vari Devasthanam Chief Security Advisor: Shri G. Surya Prakasa Rao IPS, Retired as Inspector General of Police Coastal Security is appointed as Devasthanam Chief Security Advisor.

Mr. Rao Served Andhra Pradesh Police in different capacities in ACB, Prohibition and Excise, etc..Prior to Joining police Mr. Rao served as a lawyer in Visakhapatnam. He advises and promote Devasthanam on security issues and Maintaining the properties and Premises saftey.

4) Sri Pathakamuru Sambaiah is Serving as Aasthana Gaurava Naada Swara Vidwan.

5) Another honorary respectful post of temple Barber was created to Nayi Brahmin for performing tonsure, neelala samarpana. 

Additional staffing needs will be determined on an as-required basis by the dharmakarthas with approval from Sri Sri Sri Swamiji
Prasadams

Prasadams for the respective sevas will be offered to Lord Srigiri Sri Venkateswara as dictated by Vikhansa Aagamana Sastra and by the approval of the Swamiji. 

Sales of prasadams - Chitraannam, Laddu, Vada and Sira (ravva kesari) will be offered on important days. Detailed financial transactions related to prasadams are being sent to Sri Siddheswari peetam, Courtalam periodically

Sri Vari Mula Varlu

Sri Vari Mula Varlu was offered by Sri Moravaneni Kotaiah Smt. Venkata Subbamma and his sons Raghavendra Rao, Baji Seetha Ratnam and Prabhakar Rao, Usha of Yerrabalem Village, Korsepadu Mandal, Prakasam Dist. 

The family belongs to esteemed velama dorla community who are staunch followers of the Founder-Dharmakartha. The 8’.8” MulaVarlu was carved out of Krishna Sila which gives the sound AUM. It was Excellently carved by MAHA SILPI, Sri N. Ratnachari of Chennai, Tamilnadu

Sri Vari Utsava Murthulu

Sri Vari Utsava Murthulu ( Srivaru with his consorts Sridevi , Bhoodevi) 

Sri Devathu Musala Rao(Papa), S/o Devathu Sri Ranganatham and Sesharatnamma of Ongole and his wife, Smt Kusuma Kumari offered Sri Vari Utsava Muthulu.. The donor has taken this initiative our of his close association with the Founder & Chairman 

Gold and Silver Ornaments

108 gold flowers were offered to God by the founder in the year 2006. These gold flowers will be used for Srivari Suvarna Ashtadala Padma Paadarchana Seva performed on a monthly basis.

Gold crown (Suvarna Kireetam) was donated by Sri Aluru Ramakoteswara Vamsee -USA, who is the elder son of Sri Aluru Ramakrishna Rao (Dharmakartha-No.3).

Bangaru chatari was donated by sixteen close associates of dharmakarthas family.

Gold and major silver ornaments were presented by Sri Aluru Jwala Rama Rao (Dharmakartha-No.2) and his second son-Aluru Saravana Kumar, and Aluru Ramakrishna Rao ( Dharmakartha-No 3) and his sons- Ramakoteswara Vamsee and Kumara Athreya. 

Schemes

The schemes offered by Srigiri Sri Venkateswara Devasthanam are Sasvatha archana scheme,  Sasvatha Abhishekam scheme and Sasvatha uchitha prasadam scheme. The amounts from these schemes are deposited at the bank accounts setup for the respective scheme. 

Srigiri Gosamrakshana Samithi

Srigiri Gokshetram is promoted by Sri K.B.M.V. Subramnyam, a close relative of the Dharmakarthas family and Jada Koteswara Rao Yadav, a close associate of the Dharmakarthas. All of the cows were funded by these two people. The milk and other products from these cows are used for daily rituals of the temple. As instructed by Sri Sri Sri Siddeswarananda Bharathi Swamiji, the financial transactions for the Samithi are managed by Sri Aluru Ramakrishna Rao, (Dharmakartha- No.3) and Sri Aluru Venkateswara Rao, (Dharmakartha- No.5).through Andhra Bank,.Ongole. The account details will be sent to Sri Siddeswari Peetam, courtallam periodically.. All of the cows are insured and their health is being monitored under close supervision of experienced Veterinary Doctors. 

Sri Giri Vidya Nidhi

Sri Giri Vidya Nidhi is the scheme, started with the inspiration and Devine blessings of Sri Sri Sri Siddheswarananda Bharathi Swamyji and it is intended to encourage brilliant and financially backward Hindu students.  

The scheme provides financial Assistance to the economically backward Hindu boys and Girls having obtained distinction in their respective classes. The principle patrons are the Founder ChairmanSri A.V. Ramana Rao and his Sons, Dr Srinivas Charan Rajeev USA, and Jai Sankar.with Dharmakarthas and other associates.
